Fundraising for Tommy's, the baby charity
Story
Every year in the UK, 1 in 4 families lose a baby during pregnancy or birth - that’s a quarter of couples trying for a baby left devastated.
Kathryn and I sadly have had first hand experience of this, however while she was pregnant with Noah - we were lucky enough to be supported by their clinic. Due to the extra scans they provided, we possibly have them to thank for him being here today.

Well, a global pandemic got in the way of my original plans didn’t it?
Still keen to raise money for Tommy’s, I have transferred my entry to The Great North Run in September 2021.
A tougher course then Manchester but probably ‘THE’ Half Marathon in the UK that all runners would love to complete.
The majority of my fundraising will take place while taking part in a 24 hour Ultra Marathon (Endure24 in Leeds). This is a team event, I’ll be taking it in turns with Al and Torrin to run 5 mile (8km) laps from 12pm on Saturday 3rd July until 12pm Sunday 4th July.
The physical and mental challenge of running this distance combined with the sleep deprivation is surely worth a few quid?
Please help me raise some money for a charity that’s important to me and my family.

To raise money, I’ll firstly be taking part in the Heaton Park Half Marathon on Sunday 10th November 2019.
When I run, I run in Sale - which most of you will know is lovely and flat. It only takes a canal bridge for me to be moaning about running ‘uphill.’
Running up the hills in Heaton Park for 21km will definitely be a challenge and knowing I’m raising money for such a great cause will certainly help.
I will be running other events to raise money, including the Manchester Half Marathon in October 2020 which is an event specifically for Tommy’s. I’ll keep you updated when I’m signed up to more events between now and October 2020.
