Story
I have barely been on my bike this year so please do not think I am found this for fun - it will hurt.
Around 30 military and civilian determined cyclists will cycle almost 180 miles from Bangor in North Wales to Chepstow between sunrise and sunset on 25 Jun 22. We are raising vital funds to support the burgeoning humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and the charity is the Disasters and Emergency Committee (DEC). DEC unites 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialists in different areas of disaster response so I am confident the monies raised will be effectively spent according to need and priority. I don't think I need to offer much more by way of justification! The daily stream of appalling images and stories coming out of Ukraine, showing the suffering of a proud, sovereign European nation, is difficult to comprehend. If you could find it in your hearts and wallets to make a contribution I would be extremely grateful. I know the event is on 25 Jun 22 but don't delay contributing; as your support is needed now and it will certainly help motivate me for my training.
DEC and their partners are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.£30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm£100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month
