Story
I am going to be competing in the Tough Mudder event in Kettering on Saturday 4th May. For those that know me, I don't do sporting events, let alone something as crazy as this. I will be doing it for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children who do amazing work for children and their families in the community.
Bright Horizons Family Solutions created the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children in 1999 to help achieve our mission of making a difference to the lives of children and families where we live and work, beyond the normal reach of the Company’s child care centres. The Foundation in Europe was launched in August 2005, with a particular focus to help children and families in repeat cycles of temporary and inadequate accommodation. Our mission is important and urgent. One million children in the UK are affected by repeat homelessness; one in 10 children live in overcrowded households and have no access to safe play http://www.brighthorizons.co.uk/about-us/foundation-for-children
Tough Mudder is not just any event, Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie http://toughmudder.co.uk/
It is likely to be done in some sort of costume (ideas welcomed!) and I would love for you to donate in any way. Whether it be a small amount for doing it, or a certain amount per obstacle, they would appreciate everything you can give.
So please dig deep and donate now.
