We use sport, exercise and activities to aid the rehabilitation of amputees

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Kev and I have decided this year's challenge is to climb Kilimanjaro for the charity Limbpower. There will be amputees and non amputees on this trek but we will all be supporting each other to the summit in a bid to raise money for this amazing charity.

Since my Amputation 3 1/2 years ago I have set myself challanges:- We sailed a tall ship across the North Atlantic, we've done a couple of 5 Km fun runs, I've  returned to scuba diving, climbed over the O2 and returned to the job I love. .This though, is probably the biggest challenge and will require discipline, dedication and a lot of training.

I have been fortunate to have Kevin,  family, friends and work support me in my activities, but not everyone has that support, encouragement or confidence. Limbpower supports people, especially children, to get active. They arrange weekends to introduce sport and activities to those that thought it was beyond them. Last year I attended one of these sessions and was climbing and cycling. I saw  people gain confidence  and learn from each other. This is not an easy challenge but with your help and support we will conquer Killamanjaro . Please help us raise funds to enable more people to access this worthwhile cause.
