Story
I'm taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society 13 miles walk as part of Team Hickathrift House, with colleagues I work with at Hickathrift House Care Home.
Supporting people living with dementia isn’t just my job, it’s something I truly care about. Every day, I see the challenges that dementia can bring, not only for those living with it but also for their families and loved ones. It’s a privilege to be able to provide care, comfort, and support, and it’s what makes this cause so important to me.
I took part in the 13 mile walk last year with my team, and I’m proud to be doing it again this year to help raise awareness and vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society. The work they do makes a real difference, from funding research to offering support to families who need it most.
Every step I take is for the people I care for, their families, and everyone affected by dementia.
Any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or words of encouragement, would mean so much.
Thank you for helping me make a difference 💙
