Sadly, thousands of families in Wales live every day knowing their child’s life will be short. At the moment, they often face this without any care or support. Alone. Afraid. Isolated. Tŷ Hafan’s ambition is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own.

Story

A few years ago my brother said "wouldn't it be good to swim lake Windemere, cycle home until were a full marathon away from home then run the last 26 miles"................"Yes, that's a fantastic idea" I said.

We started training for it 2 years ago ready to start it around the same time last year but He got knocked off his bike and broke his wrist so we had to cancel it hence why we are doing it now a year on.

It's a very big ask to do this challenge and we are going into the unknown. We are going to try and do it in one hit but if we can't we will be taking a power nap and then up and off we go again until we finish in Cardiff. It's going to be tuff and we're predicting tears but that's what it's all about, pushing your body to the limits and coming out the other side with a smile..........we hope ;-)

We're doing this for a charity that I've supported for a while now that does great work for life limited children Ty Hafan. I've been to the hospice on many occasion and have seen the great work that they do. Please if possible donate what you can for a great cause. I know times are hard but anything helps.

We jump into lake Windemere at 6.30am on Tuesday the 27th and start making our way south. Come show your support

Thank you
