Story

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world, and has suffered a great deal over the past few years. It also has a long standing and close relationship with the British Army, with Gurkhas making a significant contribution to the defence of the UK and to the nation.    All of Team F-o-F (four old fellas...) - Al Fawcett, Mike Fayers, Jim Forrest and I - have been privileged to serve with Gurkhas at home and on operations - as have the military members of our support crew who will replenish and encourage us along the hilly 100km from Portsmouth to Brighton, some of it in the dark.

This is a significant endurance event for us - and for all of us at least our third outing but we are older and creakier than last time.  Whilst it presents a good focus to get out and train, it is about Gurkha welfare. Thanks to our kit sponsors NSSLGlobal (where I work) and OryxAlign (where Al works).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure.  Once you donate the money goes directly to the charity.

thanks for supporting us, our veterans and Nepal
