One friend says to another ‘fancy a challenge?’

And the next thing, we are climbing Ben Nevis! It was all her idea.

Steph and Jo have been friends since childhood.

Jo was diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye disease in her mid teens. Over the following years her sight deteriorated which lead to her losing independence and confidence. The friendship remained strong and Jo is grateful for Steph’s support and the occasional kick up the butt.

In 2012 a bundle of awesomeness arrived in the form of Guide Dog Bess.

Jo had her independence back. And then some. Bess has made the most amazing difference to her owner’s life. Jo can now get out and about, doing things most folk take for granted. Little things like popping to the shop for a pint of milk, or a pint down the pub with a good mate.

Steph and Jo want to raise enough money to support a puppy from birth through the training stages to become a life changing guide dog like Bess.
