Story
The British Red Cross plays a vital role in emergency responses, and the ongoing, ever-changing situation concerning the war in Ukraine. Unprovoked aggression towards Ukraine from the Russian government is causing suffering and loss of life, leaving the people of this great nation desperately needing humanitarian aid. In this time of crisis, the Ukrainian Cultural Association in the UK (UCA-UK) is supporting the British Red Cross's Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
The British Red Cross has been operating for 150 years, and their network of incredible staff and volunteers mean they are uniquely placed to reach people in fearful, uncertain times. UCA-UK is calling upon our community and friends to help provide vital aid to innocent people affected by these Russian attacks.
We are all endlessly proud of the resilience Ukraine has shown, fighting for independence, freedom, and democracy, but global support is needed. The wonderful generosity of our supporters enables work to happen quickly and efficiently, and makes a direct difference to people's lives.
Please donate what you can through our Just Giving page and through our UCA-UK events that we host. Led by Alla Sirenko, UCA-UK President, Composer, and Pianist, proceeds and fundraising from our events go towards humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
