Story
Hey, I’m Alex
In August 2026, with your support, I will be climbing the highest peak in all of Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro. It stands at nearly 6,000 metres making it the tallest lone mountain on earth. I am undertaking this oxygen deprived challenge, with the target to raise, £3,390 in support of Amnesty International UK.
Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organisation with over ten million members globally. This means they hold power, power to effectual positive change. Amnesty can put pressure on governments and corporations to force change and mobilise people worldwide to act. Critically they have investigated and exposed numerous human rights violations worldwide, leading the humanitarian charge against war crimes, abuses of power and crimes against civil liberties. For example, their work in Palestine, Iran, Afghanistan or Uganda has been invaluable to the exposure and combating of these issues. I have linked their website with all the details below:

Here’s how my fundraising will work:
50% of what I raise will go directly to Amnesty International UK
50% will cover the essential expedition costs (excluding flights which I am paying for myself)
I will be running regular fundraising events throughout the year to achieve the £3390 target. One of which may have already led you here! Apart from these fundraising events any donations, no matter the size, will go a long way in supporting the expedition and ultimately the vital work of Amnesty International.
So, if you believe in courage, compassion, and climbing for change, please support me on this journey. Together, we can make every step count.
Thank you for the support,
Alex
