My daughter pledged £2500 six months ago at the HHUGS Emergency Fundraising Dinner. Since that time she has also signed up to participate in their Summer Bootcamp and Dragon Boatrace, bringing her total pledge to £3000 this Ramadhan.  Please help her to reach her target to sustain the work of the unique charity HHUGS and be the answer to a child's prayers this month. 

This Ramadhan, children in over 200 broken homes in the UK will face poverty, isolation and fear without their fathers. They are no better off than orphans, experiencing a grief akin to bereavement, but failing to elicit the same sympathy or support. In the best month to give sadaqah, can you give a child without their Baba a Ramadhan of hope?

• HHUGS is the only UK registered charity to provide support to families impacted by detention
• Our current operations extend to 190 households - that's almost 700 individuals
• HHUGS have distributed over £212,000 zakah funds in the last year - leaving no further zakah funds to support beneficiaries in need
• Arrests are at an unprecedented high since 2001
  
• 400 new families affected in the past year alone 
• 3/4 of those arrested in the past year were not charged under anti-terror legislation 
• For the past 13 years, HHUGS has supported women, children, the elderly, desperately seeking support but whom are shunned by their friends, their community, at times even their own family. Where no one else has answered their cries for help, HHUGS responded.
• Whilst there are dozens of charities mutually working in various other fields and regions, there is simply no other charity doing this work in the UK or abroad.

When a cause is neglected then the obligation upon us to uphold it and the reward therein is even greater.
