UNITED AS ONE - (victim support for Christchurch terrorist attack.)

Fasting for remembrance · 6 May 2019
We Stand United...
I am a former British soldier who fought in Afghanistan, I had significant injuries from war, one of them being the loss of my left leg. I now work in a very multi-cultured school, after speaking to some of my Muslim students about fasting I wanted to fast with them and the community to show that I am united along with other English non religious people. We are all one. I want to break the horrible stigmas about the British Army, I have a lot of respect for the Muslim community. I wanted to raise as much as I can towards the Muslim community and those affected by terrorism as I know first hand how these traumas can affect people mentally. Myself fasting is my way of showing respect to those who were killed and can not do so and that we are all united.
I am going to fast for those who were killed in the terrorised attack in Christchurch. Respect, understanding and unitement 5 May – 4 June.
