This is our story, Mike a young man in his 80s and me a slightly tubby 51 year old swim teacher. I met Micky about 10 months ago when he came into the Wantage  Leisure Centre for a swim, unfortunately when he got into the pool he discovered that he had lost his buoyancy and struggled to keep himself above the water, so I became his swimming buddy by supporting him in the water and building up his swimming, We have now got to a point where he is managing 12 -14 lengths of the pool each session, most of those without a floatation aid, so I asked him if he would like a challenge and to join me in this years swimathon in aid of cancer research? It was at this point that he informed me that he was a cancer survivor.   

So here we are team Mike and Vicky doing our bit to support an amazing charity, we hope over the next few weeks to do 5k between us. Thank you for your support
