Event: Walkie Talkie Tower Climb 2019, on 2 March 2019
In memory of Erwinne Carlos
Sprint to the summit of one of London's most recognisable landmarks, 20 Fenchurch Street affectionately known as the Walkie Talkie building and raise money to help seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Story

Come March 2nd, I will be running up the 800+ stairs of London's Walkie Talkie Tower at a moderate/reasonable/probably-slightly-below-average pace with fellow volunteers from Great Ormond Street Hospital, all with the aim of raising money for said hospital (whilst also working towards the recommended weekly total of 2.5 hours worth of cardio).

Rubbish humour aside, GOSH really is an incredible hospital which provides phenomenal care to not only its patients, but their families as well. I cannot speak highly enough of them, and will forever be grateful for the love and support they gave to my family and our little bubba. Although it's now been over 5 years since Erwinne died, her memory and spirit continually inspires me to keep fighting the good fight. It's been a fair while since my sister and I jumped out of a helicopter for our first fundraiser, so it would be amazing to again raise as much as possible for a cause which hits extremely close to home.

If you have managed to read this far, then please donate whatever you can to this fantastic hospital - anything you can give will be massively appreciated, and will go some way to providing a better future for some of the most seriously ill children in the world x
