Ukraine Crisis Appeal
Campaign by The British Red Cross Society (RCN 220949 (England & Wales), SC037738, 0752, 430)
Ukraine has faced almost eleven years of conflict. To date, Red Cross and Red Crescent staff and volunteers have been able to support more than 18 million people impacted by the crisis.

Story

On Sunday 13 March nine members of staff from Walthamstow Hall Senior School in Sevenoaks will be running the Paddock Wood Half Marathon as part of the School's fund-raising efforts to support the humanitarian work that the British Red Cross are undertaking to help the people of Ukraine.

The British Red Cross plays a vital role in emergency response. In times of crisis, we’re here to help people. We’re local and we’re global and we’ve been doing this for 150 years. Our network of incredible staff and volunteers means we are uniquely placed to reach people in fearful, uncertain times.

The British Red Cross is part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which unites 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialists in different areas of disaster response.

The DEC launches appeals during times of monumental suffering, which is the case in Ukraine right now.

Donations to this vital appeal will help reach families and communities in Ukraine and the border countries.
