Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just giving page.

Last year Warriors Community Foundation staff and Visually Impaired Hugby players scaled Ben Nevis and Snowdon to raise funds for Warriors Community Foundation, the charitable arm of Worcester Warriors.

This year we are walking the length of Hadrians Wall, from Newcastle to Bowness. This is hard enough on people but with a visual impairment it makes it tougher.

We are walking with our Hugby players (Hugby is a truly inclusive Visually Impaired version of rugby, allowing players with any form of sight loss the chance to play rugby)

The group are raising funds to raise awareness of the sport and increase participation along with funding their own future projects through the Foundation, including the first Hugby match between England and Scotland.

Please give generously as this is a truly inspirational group of players, staff and volunteers.

About the charity

Worcester Warriors Foundation was set up in 2009 by Cecil Duckworth, CBE. We are a Sports Foundation that provides life-changing initiatives for people in our community who are marginalised, isolated, lonely, disadvantaged, disengaged and those who struggle with their physical and mental wellbeing.
