Fundraising for SWALLOW
Story
Covid-19 has impacted us all in lots of different ways. For me, losing my routine and the opportunity to play sport has had a real impact. To try and combat this during Lockdown 1.0, I bought new trainers, downloaded the 'Couch to 5k' app and attempted to overcome my hatred of running. Running has been the focus that has kept me sane throughout this pandemic and although we're still not the best of friends, it has now become a part of my day-to-day life.
This year, I want to keep up the momentum and push myself further by giving myself a new challenge. I am attempting to run one half marathon for each month of 2021, including running the Bath Half in September (a total 157.2 miles for the year). This will be a physical and mental challenge for me, but I believe it will provide a positive focus as we continue with Covid-19 restrictions. To help keep me motivated, I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to raise money for the amazing local charity, SWALLOW, a charity providing support for teenagers and adults with learning disabilities. Your support will help motivate me to stay focused, but also help this fantastic cause. And you never know, I might love running by the end of the year! Thank you, Emma.
