Story
Walk for Saint Michael’s Hospice on September 10. It is 10 k
effort, down the hill from St Michael’s to the coastal footpath,
along that to Galley Hill, on the border between Bexhill and St
Leonards, past the back of our house – back and up the hill to the
hospice.
More significantly it is for a very important local service, their website
is at http://www.stmichaelshospice.com/
Hospices do not need any introduction and obviously we have an
interest because some time in the not so distant future we may need
their help in our last move. Their summary is below
So we would ask you to support our small efforts as much as you can – and we will do the walk even if it is raining – promise. Well Evelyn might only do the walk figuratively.
Did you know the Hospice needs to raise over £14,400 every day to continue to provide their services to the local community?Raising money at St Michael's Hospice Moonlight and Memories Walk helps with the everyday running of the Hospice and helps patients live comfortably during their stay. This event is also the chance to remember those loved ones that have been lost and to reflect on times together.Lighting your paper lantern to take on the walk and placing it in the Hospice gardens, is a lovely reflective moment to take everything in and you can then celebrate your completion of the walk with light refreshments and a medal for your achievement.
