Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking on this challenge on the 11th August 2018 to raise money and awareness for research into Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) at the Dementia Research Center.

It will be 10 years this year that my mother died of FTD after a very aggressive deterioration, making this challenge very personal to me.

The Dementia Research Center is a hub for clinical research into various forms of dementia.  They focus on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families.

Your kind donation will allow the Dementia Research Center to continue with their research of FTD and potentially find a way to suppress the development of the condition or even stop it completely.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
