Well… after talking about wanting to do this for a few years now, I thought it was about time I got out there and just do it!

 

For those who aren't familiar with the 3 peaks challenge, the aim is to ascend/descend the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) all within 24 hours!

Ben Nevis - 4,409 ft

Scafell Pike - 3,209 ft

Snowdon - 3,560 ft

So on 16th/17th September I will be attempting to complete the challenge… fingers crossed the weather doesn't take a turn for the worse, and the traffic is quiet!

 

I'm doing this just as a personal challenge, but as you can see I've set up this donation page for anyone feeling charitable. It may just give me that added motivation when my knee undoubtedly starts hurting on the descents!
