We raise funds for musculoskeletal injury to help restore active lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are raising money for BART - not many of you will have heard of it but it is N. Ireland's hip and knee replacement research charity. It's a small charity doing big things and it really needs help to raise awareness. By 2030 the numbers needing hip and knee replacements will have doubled. Waiting lists are already too long! BART is doing research now to improve things for future joint replacement patients. Its a local charity, based at Musgrave Park Hospital so all the money raised stays in N. Ireland.

Last year Matthew, Sophie and Rory's Granny had a hip replacement and it transformed her life. She was able to get back to doing the things she enjoyed again. They (well Matthew and Sophie really, Rory doesn't know what a fun run is!) decided they would take part in the Belfast City Marathon Fun Run this year to help raise money for BART. Their cousins, Owen and Lucy decided to join in too for a bit of fun and Chris, Clare and my Mum and Dad are their designated adults - hoping to keep up with them!! On Sunday the 5th of May they will all be doing the fun run (or walk!) so if you have a few pounds to spare it would mean a lot to them. Thank you!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
