Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Alongside the stated supporters, we’ve now added all the many cash (offline donations) and we’ve raised a wonderful amount of over £1770 for the people of Ukraine. The concert had a truly heartwarming atmosphere. Huge thanks to Nina Kiva, our Worlds End Music Young Artist, who played a gorgeous Benedictus from The Armed Man, with special permission from Sir Karl Jenkins for a slightly unorthodox arrangement! Also thanks to Gwen, the organist at St Martin of Tours, who came in to play on less than 12 hours notice - and of course, to all my fellow musicians for their beautiful playing and their generosity. Above all, thank you to all of you - who donated so generously.
Your local professional musicians wanted to do something to help to appalling humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Ukraine. Worlds End Music’s concert on 9th April, 7pm, at St Martin of Tours Church, Church Lane, Chelsfield was hugely well attended and the page will close shortly. All proceeds to the Disaster Emergency Committee Ukraine humanitarian appeal.
