Ummah Welfare Trust was founded in 2001 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

We are the oldest Indian supermarket based in the heart of Tredworth in Gloucester, serving the community since 1966.

Tucked away off Barton Street, between the City’s three mosques is a bustling shop which has been serving the best Indian food to the people of Gloucester for more than 50 years.

Motala & Sons is a firm favourite with the local community and food fans from further afield who travel great distances to browse through shelves of spices and ingredients.

Based in the heart of Tredworth since 1966, the shop has been in its current location in Victoria Street since 1970.

We are doing a fundraiser in support of Ummah Welfare Trust for their Ramadan Appeal to help tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

10% of profits from all sales + donations towards this cause will go towards this appeal.
