Life After Lockdown
Campaign by SASH (RCN 1054890)
Coronavirus has already taken the lives of thousands - it shouldn't destroy the future of hundreds of young people. Together, we can make sure that homelessness is never the answer.

Story

We are a team of (mostly) Yorkshire-bound runners. We want to help people who are in a vulnerable position because of lockdown, whilst staying safe and distanced ourselves. There are seven of us like the seven colours of the rainbow, and the rainbow has come to symbolise togetherness and hope with COVID-19. We're doing a lap of Yorkshire - that's 450 miles which is a VERY LONG WAY - so please donate! :) Ahem. We are (alphabetically):

Adam Walsh

Beth Casey

Cheyann Heap

Fabio D'Andrea

Lewis Bulmer

Naomi Bright

Nick Lodge

From SASH: Nearly half of the young people who come to SASH facing homelessness, do so because of family breakdown. Right now, there are young people in our community living in unstable family circumstances, surrounded by abuse - all they have to look forward to once lockdown is lifted, is the dread of being kicked out of their family home or making the impossible decision to flee a toxic environment. Our expert support workers are predicting a rise in the need for our services after lockdown is lifted. We want these young people know that there is hope and a better life after lockdown. With your help, we can make sure that they have safe home and a bright future.
