Amie and Yvette have decided to take on the challenge of completing the Virtual London Marathon 2020 for Ethan.

A little bit of pain for the 2 of us is absolutely nothing compared to what Ethan has to endure daily.

Imagine all the things that we use our legs for that we take for granted. Then think about getting to 11 years of age and suddenly being robbed of that ability.........Unfortunately for Ethan this has become a reality. Slowly Duchenne has robbed him of the ability to walk long distance, then stairs, then almost overnight it took the last bit of mobility he had left. 

This has hit Ethan hard, to lose his mobility was hard enough but to lose it when he was on lockdown for weeks on end due to shielding because of Covid took a hard toll on him, he struggled to cope with why his legs no longer wanted to do what he was telling them, why they wont work anymore when they did work before. He's still really coming to terms with this massive change in his life, but as always the fighter he is he battles on with courage and determination to make the most of his life.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a terminal muscle wasting disease for which there are currently no treatments or cures for Ethan.
