Story
As a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, Uganda is now on lockdown. The closure of borders and the ban on public transport and cars has lead to the closure of business - leaving so many of our community without work or access to essentials. Many in Uganda live hand-to-mouth and cannot save money to support themselves during these very difficult and worrying times. Weve been working with Julius and our wonderful teams in Hoima and Kasambya to prepare food packages for those left most vulnerable as a result of this. These food packages consist of maize, soap, salt and some beans. Furthermore, we desperately need to provide money for fuel to drive ambulances. Without public transport, too many people cannot get to a hospital and this is especially distressing for pregnant women.I am aiming to raise £250 to support teams in Uganda provide essential food and fuel to transport to hospital.
