Ukraine has faced almost eleven years of conflict. To date, Red Cross and Red Crescent staff and volunteers have been able to support more than 18 million people impacted by the crisis.

Story

Some of you will know we (Zoe & Rach) are running (jogging, very slowly) Brighton Half Marathon tomorrow. We weren’t planning on fundraising but, feeling helpless, as I imagine lots of us are, we thought it would be silly not to set up a page if anyone did want to support Ukraine🇺🇦#standwithukraine

The Red Cross have launched an emergency appeal. They have vowed to continue its support for the at-risk families in Ukraine. The charity delivers food, fuel for heating, medical supplies and housing support to those living close to the line of contact in eastern Ukraine.

Communities are bearing the brunt of eight long years of conflict. We are very concerned about the recent intensification of fighting in eastern Ukraine over the past few days. Please donate today if you can. Even before recent developments, this is a conflict that hits people daily on personal, psychological and emotional level, bringing death, injury, separation from loved ones as well as the huge mental toll of ongoing violence and insecurity. How will my donation help people in Ukraine? We are responding to needs of people by: Repairing vital infrastructure such as water stations supplying water to over 800,000 people. Supporting small businesses with cash grants or equipment and vocational training.
