Story
On the 16th July I am skydiving for Maggie's.
I have been working for Maggies for over a year and have seen first hand the positive and ongoing support it provides for people with cancer and their families.
Following our (slightly out of time) dance fundraising last year myself and some of my colleagues at Maggie's decided to go big this year and jump out of a plane!
So please support Maggie's and me and wish me luck!
The challenge!
We will be skydiving from a whooping 15,000ft! This is one minute of freefall before the parachute opens up! This is no mean feat, and will take a huge amount of mental power and strength to get out of the plane!
The cause!
Maggies Centres offer practical and emotional support to people with any type of cancer, at any stage, for free. We receive no government funds and rely on the generosity of our many supporters. We focus on the things that really make a difference, like finance worries, housing, help with managing stress, anxiety, depression and side efforts of treatment as well as family support. This is through 1-1 support or group sessions. We have about 100-150 people visiting our West London centre every day.
