Story
Well, I ran the full 13.1 miles of the Great North Run on Sunday 26th September and have the aches, pains, blisters, Medal & T-Shirt to prove it!!!
The fact that (a) there were 48,999 other participants to negotiate and (b) I was lugging around a surplus 10kg made it difficult to break any records.
The first 8 miles were ok, the next 2 hard and the last 3.1 were agony - however knowing that so many had sponsored me kept me running not walking.
A big 'thank you' to all my sponsors, you helped me raise over £500 including the 'off line' sponsors.
