Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
The Willow Foundation is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of seriously ill adults aged 16-40 in the way of a 'Special Day'. It gives them something to look forward to after intensive treatment, or something to take their mind off of things when times aren't so good. It was set up by Bob Wilson (ex Scotland and Arsenal goal keeper) and his wife as a lasting tribute to their daughter who died of cancer aged 31.
The Event
Every now and again I get a mad idea and before I know it I've passed the point of no return! Last time it was jumping out of a plane, this time round its going way inside the Artic Circle! This time I will be taking a trip to Sweden on 3rd
March 2007 to take part in a Dog Sledding Open Charity Challenge event, 150km inside the Artic Circle, with temperatures between -10 to -25oC..!!!
What will I eat for a week? Elk, moose or reindeer burgers, this could be more of a challenge than I first thought! (Some of you know how fussy I am with food) Will I come back a changed person?
I need to raise the target above by the end of January, this is where you guys come into it, please dig deep, it is for a good cause. Please let all your work colleagues, friends and families know. Every little bit counts.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Willow Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please, please sponsor me.
Many thanks, Gary .
