Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
We did it!
Thanks so much to everyone who has donated. The trip was hard work but an amazing experience as over 90 of us cycled together around the Arc De Triomphe down to the Eiffel Tower -- as I thought of the people I was doing this for and the people who had given us such fantastic support, I don't mind admitting to feeling a bit choked!
Thanks so much to everyone involved, directly or indirectly!

On Wednesday 8th July 2009, I'll be joining a group of loons who have signed up to cycle from London to Paris to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We will be in the saddle for four days, travelling 485km/300miles and anyone can tell you this is going to be really hard work for me!
I'm doing this because my mum was cared for by Macmillan nurses and I'm sure many of you know somebody in a similar situation and how important Macmillan's work is.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
My training:
************
I will be trying to commute the 35-mile round trip to work as often as possible and from Easter will be trying to get longer rides in...
Lots of commuting rides from mid-February (except when my crank bolt broke at Easter)
35 miles on Friday 17 April in the rain, so not bad
45 miles on Sunday 26 April, from central London to Haywards Heath - didn't go all out to Brighton because the train back wasn't running!
*****
1,050 training miles in total by the end of April - same as London to Madrid!
*****
More commuting in April and May with an extra 30-miler on Sunday 24th May
*****
30 May - Leicester to Skegness - 100 miles in total!
31 May - Skegness to Leicester - 100 miles back again!
*****
Back to commuting on 2nd June. Knackered.
5-day commute the week after though, now on 2,128 miles
******
Now over 2,000 miles, that's further than London to Athens! :-)
