Story
I was very lucky growing up as an "army brat" that my father came back in one piece from The Falklands, Iraq (1st time round) and various other tours of duty including 3 tours in Northern Ireland. The same cannot be said for some of our brave soldiers who are sent to fight for our country and come back with horrific injuries.
Help for heroes was set up to support the wounded service men and women who have been injured in the line of duty during the current campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I am raising funds through competing in the Great South Run to help their continued support of those heroes and any others who may be injured before our troops are pulled out of the conflicts.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and I hope you will take the time to sponsor me and support this fantastic charity that is doing so much for those that have not been as fortunate as my father.
Just 5 more days till the Great South Run and i'm nearly at my sponsorship target, if you could donate and push me beyond the £300.00 mark that would be fantastic. The training has gone well with one more run before Sunday to keep my legs ticking over.
