I finished the New York Marathon in 4:38:36 - a fair attempt - after raising $3,587 for the National Stroke Association in memory of my grandfather, B.K. Kalia.

This time I am running in memory of my father, K.M. Kalia, who passed away after suffering a heart attack in 1999 while exercising. The marathon is the day after of what would have been his 52nd birthday. It is for this reason that I have a close affinity to this marathon, British Heart Foundation and their charitable purpose. My pledge is to raise a minimum of £3,000.
