I'm sure your heart sank when you received yet another e-mail asking for sponsorship for an event so thank you very much for reading this. Times are hard I know and if you are reading this while boiling up your children or grandchildren to make some nourishing gruel please don't feel you have to donate.

I always said I'd never run another marathon but when its a long way in the future (and drink has been taken)  it always seems a marvellous idea.  When you have to train in the heat(!) of an English summer, getting out of bed at three o'clock in the morning to run ludicrous distances before work, you do begin to wonder why you signed up........

BUT, I shall do it and I would appreciate it so much if you would sponsor me.  The Nick Webber Trust is a fantastic cause and I am overwhelmed and humbled by the work they do with some of the most disadvantaged people in the world and I know that all the money will be spent wisely and to good effect.
