Story
My wife, Stacey (aged 26 years), and our two children, Josh (aged 2 years) and Georgia (aged 11 weeks) died suddenly in a tragic road traffic accident on 8th December 2005.
CRUSE continues to help me through this difficult period in my life when, on lots of occasions, there appears to be little left to strive for.
Therefore, my friends and I have signed up to run the Robin Hood Marathon on 10th September, in order to raise money and awareness for CRUSE. We are all aged 30+ and, for the majority of us, this will be our very first marathon. There is no way I could repay CRUSE for their help and support, but at least I will feel that, by running this marathon, we will be helping in a small way. Fifty percent of the amount raised will be donated directly to CRUSE in Huntingdon, which is the branch that has helped me. The remaining 50% will be used to support the work of CRUSE nationally.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cruse Bereavement Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please dig deep ... and embarass me by the size of your donation!!
Many thanks for your support.

12th Sept 2006 MISSION COMPLETED !!
On what was a very hot day, the mission was completed.Out of 19 entries all 19 finished the race.It was to be one of the most challenging things all of us have ever done. The course was described by some experienced runners as brutal, so you can only imagine what we were all thinking.
I would like to thank everyone that has donated to such a worthy cause. To our army of supporters on the day, to the runners that ran with me in memory of my family, i am truly humbled by the level of support we all received.
Who knows we may run another, i think this running has become a little bit addictive, but for the time being it will be nice to relax and eat and drink what we want.
Thank you all again
Andrew
