As many of you will already know, I have accepted an invitation to run the 26.2 miles that is the Flora London Marathon. How I came to find myself undertaking this arduous event is something that I have constantly asked myself whilst running around the streets of Greenwich on many a wet and windy evening. Needless to say, my involvement in this gruelling event was the result of evening spent consuming a large number of beers and a very persuasive publican who insisted that it would be a 'stroll in the park' and a great way to raise money for his charity, the Greater London Fund For the Blind.
In order to help make the 26.2 miles a little more bearable, I hope you will be able to donate money to this very worthwhile charity, which you can do online.
It's the most efficient way for me to raise funds for my charity. If you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.
Both myself and my chosen charity really appreciate your donation. Any amount will make a difference but please try to give generously!
Many thanks
Steve
