Wow what a start to the season!

As you probably know GMC has been taking part in triathlons over the past couple of years.  This year we would give the South Cost Triathlon a go. It's the one of the biggest triathlon in England so we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a charity that is very close to our heart.

Our chosen charity is RAINBOWS CHILDREN’S HOSPICE,  based in Loughborough, Leicestershire is the children's hospice for the East Midlands. Children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions come to the Hospice for specialist respite stays, symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care. Their families, too, are supported and helped by Rainbows on their difficult journey.

At Rainbows the emphasis is on enriching life and making each minute of each short life count. Each child is treated as an individual and helped by the skilled, experienced team to get the most from life and enjoy it to the full.    

The South coast Triathlon takes place in Seaford (between Brighton and Eastbourne) on Saturday, 15 August and GMC will participate as a team. The race covers a 1500m swim by Mouhcine Bourous, 40km bike ride by Prem Goyal and a 10km run by Monika Miksakova, Catherine Ching and Qian Zhang are helping with fundraising and logistics. We’re aiming to finish in the top 10%, so no pressure.

So please dig into your pockets and sponsor us. You don’t have to go mad with huge donations (although who are we to stop you).
