After years of procrastination, I'm running The 2010 London Marathon. Whilst this is clearly yet another manifestation of mid-life crisis (I turn 40 in September 2010), the main aim is to raise as much money as possible for The Cardiomyopathy Association. You will find a link to their site on this page. This charity is of personal importance as my brother-in-law passed away suddenly and without warning in November 2006 from undetected ARVC, aged 36. I'm running in memory of him and as a tribute to a man who was not only my brother-in-law, but also a very dear friend.
I'm not trying to beat any record time. To be honest, I'll be lucky if I beat Jimmy Savile. However, I do hope to finish on the same day I started, and before they open the roads back up to traffic..
Please donate what you can in aid of this very worthy charity.
Anyway, I should be out running and not on the internet...
