The Great Gorilla Run is an iconic charity fun run that’s taken London by storm.

There are many charity runs but none are quite like this – 1,000 people, all dressed up as gorillas and going ape for a day!

Since the first race in 2003, thousands of people have donned their gorilla suits and walked, run or jogged the 7km City of London route that takes in sights such as Tower Bridge and The Tate Modern.

As I like a challenge, dressing up as a gorilla and agree that gorillas are amazing creatures, then this had to be the event for me. By sponsoring me you’ll be playing a crucial role in helping save the remaining 700 mountain gorillas left in the wild.

If every person raises the their individual target it will make a huge difference to the work of the Gorilla Organisation. You’ll be helping to save the world’s last remaining gorillas who are targeted by poachers and illegal game hunters, threatened by the effects of civil war and human disease and face losing their beautiful forest habitat as a result of deforestation and human encroachment.

By taking part or sponsoring me in the Great Gorilla Run you’ll be helping to raise over £400,000 to fund more than 20 key projects dedicated to the protection and preservation of the gorillas. These include: 

• Ranger patrols
• Forest-dwelling peopleEducation
• Tree planting
• Community development
