Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Great North Run. Its nearly two years now since I said I would never do it again - and injury and lack of training prevented me from participating in 2005.  But as everyone knows, I like a challenge.  Even though I'll be two years older, I’d like to match or beat my results from 2004.  I finished in 2 hours and 18 minutes - amazingly the same time as in 2003.  So that’s my first challenge.  My second challenge is to beat the £6,000 that I raised for the British Heart Foundation in 2004.

This year the charity I've chosen is Medecins San Frontiers and you can donate through this site, its simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Médecins Sans Frontières UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support – I’ll let you know afterwards how the run went.
