Story

Thanks for visiting.

On 25 April I will be running the 2010 Virgin London Marathon for
Great Ormond Street Children's Charity.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everybody who has donated so far I have exceeded my initial sponsorship targets. But whatever I raise will be a mere pittance compared to the
£50million Great Ormond Street aim to raise every year to ensure they 'keep the magic alive' for the thousands of children and their families who need their help.

I chose to run for GOSH for two personal reasons. Firstly, one of my good school friends spent a lot of his childhood there after having to have a kidney removed as an infant. Consequently, the hospital and the charity were in my mind from an early age. Secondly, in June 2008, the daughter of some close friends of ours was born with two serious heart conditions. The standard of care she received both during her operations and subsequently, plus the emotional support offered to her parents was nothing short of incredible. Because of Great Ormond Street, they are both living normal lives.

But you don't need me to extol the virtues of their good work, just dig into your pocket and please give generously - you really will make a difference.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you.
