Story
I'm running the Stockholm Marathon on the 31st of May 2008 in aid of Lawrence's Roundabout Well Appeal with the aim of funding a well in an african primary school.
Like all the best ideas, this is a remarkably simple. A bore hole is drilled in the school playground and a roundabout fitted above it. As the children play on the roundabout they pump water up into a header tank thereby providing clean water for the surrounding area. Visit www.lawrencesroundaboutwellappeal.org for details of the wells installed so far.
Lawrence was a charming little boy who was diagnosed with Adrenoleukodistrophy (ALD) in October 2004. Within 6 months he was unable to move or talk and had to be fed through a tube. He died in July 2005
Lawrence's mother has recently won a national award for her fundraising work since his death.
So please sponsor me now! Your donation will help me get through the 26.2 miles. Every penny raised goes directly towards the construction of the roundabout well.
Many thanks for your support.
