Story
Celebrating the big 5-0 this year! So to mark this occasion I have decided to walk the West Highland Way with my husband Graham in memory of my Uncle Ron Thompson. We are raising money for Cancer Research UK.
The West Highland Way is 95 miles long, starting in Milngavie, Glasgow and finishing in the capital of the Highlands, Fort William. Graham and I will be walking over seven days from the 13th May. The longest part of the walk will be on my birthday, the 17th May.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
Their groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has saved millions of lives. Survival rates have doubled in the last thirty years and Cancer Research UK have been at the heart of that progress.
One in three of us will still get cancer at some point, but thanks to Cancer Research UK's work, more people are beating cancer than ever before. Cancer Research UK's work is funded entirely by the public, so please help me support them and help ensure that millions more people will survive.
