Story
Don't ask me why but I'm doing Le Tour Cycle Challenge at the end of August.
For seven days I'll be riding the same roads in the Alps that the professional riders struggle up in the Tour de France and the Italian Giro.
It's not the sort of thing that old blokes like me are meant to do. But it's all for a good cause.
The weather will be hot, the hills (mountains actually) will be endless and I'm going to suffer in the saddle. Fear not. I'm used to suffering. I actually enjoy pain and like nothing more than a good challlenge. And as I'm doing it for a really good charity the pain will all be worthwhile.
Now for the really tough bit. I need your money.
My target for the Guide Dogs for the Blind is £1,500 and I won't be able to do the ride unless I can reach this target. I know that many of you will give very generously. Any amount will help. Even if you can only spare 50p or a quid that's fine. If everybody I know gives me a quid I'll be well on the way to hitting my target.
I promise that everyone who sponsors me will get a personal thank you email and if you believe in karma like I do then I can assure you that your generosity will be rewarded.
That's enough waffle from me. Please give generously and please accept my sincere thanks in advance.
Here's the small print: Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Guide Dogs gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Best wishes
