Story
Once again we have a QinetiQ team willing to endure a painful challenge at the gym in order to raise sponsorship for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. We are aiming to raise more than last year which means we are putting ourselves through a greater challenge:
Tom Blaylock and I will be rowing 100k relay in 5k splits, all to be done in less than 8 hours.
We have 4 teams of 4 individuals who will complete a warm up of 3km on the rower, bike, treadmill and the x-trainer to then go on to the competition of 2 minutes of each - press ups, full situps, tricep dips, burpies and squat thrusts. The team with the most points wins.
Last year I had the privilege of presenting the sponsorship money we had raised at an event at Phyllis Tuckwell. I was able to see with my own eyes where the money was going. The atmosphere there was calm and tranquil, the facilities were up to date and varied and the support and care for people in the hospice and in their homes was extensive. Phyllis Tuckwell certainly help a vast amount of people in various ways and is a worthwhile cause.
Please sponsor us so we can help Phyllis Tuckwell give more people support and care.
Thanking you in advance.
