UPDATE about Ellie SEPTEMBER 2010

Ellie has found a new friend in Stuart who helps out at the kennels - they have become the best of friends and Ellie is going to be living with Stuart.  They have recently been on holiday in Aberdeen and you can see their photos.  She has made a great recovery and is such a great wee character.  So thanks to everyone who helped us to help this delightful little girl.  Jennie Carruthers Secretary RWA.

UPDATE on Ellie - Monday 22nd February 2010

I went to visit Ellie at the vets last Friday.  She has had 2 major operations on her front legs including a skin graft.

She was very proud of her casts and her buster collar!  All the vet nurses are very fond of her.

We are hoping that Ellie will be transferred to our care in about 10 days time where we can start to get her back to a normal life again.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to help us help towards Ellie's vet bill.

UPDATE on Ellie - Tuesday 9th February 2010

Ellie is making a good recovery - her wounds are looking better and she is only a few days away from having a skin graft.  Both her legs are healing well and she is having her bandages changed daily.  She is beginning to come out of herself and playing with her toys.

Ellie thanks everyone who has donated towards her veterinary costs and sends her love.

Jennie Carruthers - RWA Secretary

Ellie is a beautiful Rottweiler bitch who was found as a stray in London with severe wounds to both her front legs.  On one leg the tendon was visible and the other had flesh exposed.  It is not known how she came by these terrible injuries.

We, at the Rottweiler Welfare Association are going to take care of Ellie once she is released from veterinary care in Maidenhead, where she is being given the best possible care and lots of love,  in approx 4 weeks time.  She has had her legs operated on and will probably need skin grafts.  Ellie is still quite young, has had puppies in the past and is most probably illegally docked.

Ellie's ongoing surgical and medical treatment is going to cost so the Rottweiler Welfare Association is trying to raise as much money as we can to help pay for Ellie's care - please help us to help Ellie and make a donation for her today.

Thank you!

Jennie Carruthers, RWA Secretary
