Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Each year Higgs & Sons' CSR programme supports a range of projects on behalf of its chosen charity of the year. This year, we are supporting the Alzheimer’s Society

Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.

The Alzheimer's Society believe passionately that life doesn't end when dementia begins. They are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most. http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/site/index.php

To help with this year's fundraising, a select group of our staff members have signed themselves up to the gruelling
'Winter Wolf Run' a 10k run across open ground, through woods, mud and water and over natural and man made obstacles.

Running, crawling, wading, swimming and climbing...
A test of mental and physical strength, skill and stamina.
