I suspect you're here because I've told you I'm running the London Marathon 2009 and I've asked you to sponsor me.

Well, as some of you may or may not know, about this time last year, I was overweight, overate, could barely walk up a flight of stairs before being out of breath and had a really bad haircut.

Well since then I've started to run and do more excercise, am at a healthy weight and body build and have even run a half marathon! Shame I still have the bad haircut but they say nobody is perfect.

I've always wanted to run the London Marathon but have never felt I could do it. To be honest, I'm still not sure if I can, even though I am fitter than I've been in a long time, I'm a little injury prone and am sure I'll do myself some damage. Yet, If I don't try I'll never know.

So I'm training regularly, changing my eating again for runners, pumping iron (a change for the pints) and have even pledged to stop drinking (in the new year, come on I cant do it over Chritsmas).

Well, I've just under three weeks to go and my training hasn't exactly progressed to plan.
It started towards the end of December, with some fot pain developing after I'd run six miles, spend a fortune getting special insoles from a podiatrist (which are actually very good and I wear them all the time now.
then training went very very well, nothing could stop me. Apart from my knees giving me jip! More visits to the physio and I think I've just sorted that out!
No time to train properly now and I'm nowhere near prepared but as long as I'm fit, nothing will stop me from this now!
Next update will probably be from the hospital bed!
