Story
In the Autumn term every student at Hitchin Boys' School was given the chance to vote for a local and a national charity that the school would support. The national charity chosen was the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for this year. Fund raising activities such as non uniform day, teachers in the stocks and sporting events have taken place this week to raise funds and on Sunday 21st July Mr Dave Smith, Director of Cricket at HBS, is running the Asics London 10k to raise further funds for the school's nominated charity.
Hitchin Boys' School believe that the act of giving and thus thinking of others is a vital part of creating a harmonious and happy individual and society and that our fundraising will help the Great Ormond Street Hospital save young lives which hang in the balance every day as patients and families from across the UK battle the most complex illnesses.
We would be grateful of any contribution, however small, to help such a worthwhile charity and make a difference to young people's lives.
