Story
Hi there,
As you may or may not know, I'm currently studying at Imperial College London. This March, during my spring break, I will be hitchhiking from London to Morocco to raise money for a charity called Link Community Development. The charity focuses on helping schools in Africa by providing school improvement programs. The England and Wales branch of LCD raises money every year by holding this event where students hitchhike to either Morocco or Prague. My term ends on the 26th of March so my hitching partner, Skip, and I will set out soon after that and return before our term starts in April. The plan is to take about a week hitchhiking through the UK, across the English Channel, France and Spain like this and across the Straight of Gibraltar to Morocco; we plan on meeting a lot of very interesting lorry drivers on the way as the idea is not to spend any money traveling there. My aim is to raise £350 for Link Community Development so if you feel this is a worthy cause that I'm supporting and if you'd like to see photos of me trudging down the side of some highway in France, completely exhausted and probably drenched with my thumb out then please donate.
Thanks,
- Holly
